Today, on this new edition of our 9to5Toys Travel Kit series, we’re taking a quick look at some gear I’m packing into a small kit for a week-long trip to Europe with a couple of long-haul flights. I’m going light on the tech front as this is more of a vacation than a work assignment, but I’ll still have all the essentials to keep my devices charged and my things in check. Head below to find what I’m packing in my leather sling bag, particularly the gear that’ll help me through those long flights.

You’re reading9to5Toys Travel Kit – a new feature series where we give you a closer look at our favorite travel gear for heading off to the big city for the weekend, heading out to the country for some R&R, exploring exotic locales overseas, a day trip to the beach, or just to the park for a relaxing picnic for the afternoon.
iPhone 16 Pro
My main everyday carry for this trip is going to be the iPhone 16 Pro in the Desert Titanium colorway. This is officially the first trip I’ll be taking with this phone in my pocket, and I also plan on using it as my main camera throughout the duration of my stay in France and Belgium. I haven’t actually had a good chance to fully test out the cameras on this phone just yet outside of my usual setting, and I can’t wait to see the photos and videos on the other end of this trip. I’ve picked up a lot of accessories to compliment this phone and improve my experience on this trip and I’ve highlighted a few of them below.
CASETiFY Ultra Bounce case
Protecting my main piece of gear is going to be CASETiFY’s Ultra Bounce case. This isn’t something I’d typically use on the daily considering I don’t really have the most active lifestyle but I figured it would be nice to have something durable to protect my phone while I’m moving around and traveling a lot. Not only does it offer great drop protection of up to 32.8 feet with its innovative Ultra Bounce corners, but it also has a functional design with seamless access to camera control. I also have a matching Utility Lanyard in Indigo colorway for when I really need to secure it, though I don’t see myself using it all the time.
I’ll also have ESR’s Classic Clear case with a built-in kickstand handy for when I feel like using a lighter case on my phone.
UGREEN Finder Tag
Another useful piece of gear I’m carrying for this trip is UGREEN’s brand-new Smart Finder Tag which is compatible with Apple Find My. This new accessory is replacing my AirTag on this trip. I plan on tossing it in my checked-in suitcase to track it in real-time. The fact that I can keep an eye on it using Apple’s Find My app means I can pinpoint the location of my luggage in case I need to find and retrieve it. I’ll add it to my shoulder sling bag after the flight to ensure I can always keep an eye on my belongings when I’m out and about every day.
Some of my favorite gear
GravaStar Mercury M1 Pro gaming mouse
ESR 10,000mAh Qi2-certified MagSafe power bank with kickstand
Carrying a power bank is a no-brainer, especially when you’re going to be out and away from a power source. I’m going with ESR’s compact 10,000mAh battery pack for this trip, which is a Qi2-certified unit that can deliver 15W of power wirelessly to my iPhone. It’s a MagSafe-compatible model that also comes with a built-in kickstand at the back for when I need to prop up my device on a flat surface or while charging it overnight for StandBy action.
30W Nexode USB-C GaN charger
For topping my iPhone 16 Pro overnight, I’ll be using UGREEN’s tiny Nexode USB-C GaN charger. The whole idea is to go light on gear this trip and this is the smallest adapter I have at the moment. It may not be the fastest charger out there, but it’s perfect for topping up my phone overnight at 30W speeds. I’ll be using it with UGREEN’s Uno 100W USB-C cable.
VITURE Pro XR/AR Glasses
The VITURE Pro XR glasses is what I’m going to rely on to get through those long-haul 10-hour flights. You can simply pair them with your iPhone or MacBook via the Spacewalker companion app to beam all your media and play it on a massive 135-inch 120Hz display. I’ve been using the VITURE Pro XR/AR glasses for a while now, and they’re great for when you need to set up a private space for media consumption, be it for watching movies, TV shows, or even playing games. These glasses have speakers tuned by Harman, but I’ll be pairing a set of AirPods Pro to my iPhone for a better experience overall. These glasses can easily get through the entire duration of my flight, so I won’t have to worry about charging them either.
